We’re not shy when it comes to expressing ourselves here at Spread. As a feminist zine with an open attitude towards journalism and art, there isn’t room for tip toeing around issues. When it comes to tone of voice we endeavour to communicate a clear, passionate and well informed perspective for our readers. This time around, Spread is turning itself into a vast open space for the anger, rage and fury of our nation.

Spread 003: The Anger Issue
Anger is an emotion that can make us uncomfortable, irrational, impulsive, agitated. It has physical and mental consequences. Anger is also a natural emotion that serves a function. We want to hear your anger in Spread 003: The Anger Issue.
After the June release of Spread 002: Data, the open call for the third installment of Spread has been announced with a deadline set for Sunday 6 September. There are a few guidelines for submitting work:
Spread is a zine for music, sex and DIY culture and submissions should address the theme under one of these pillars.
Visual submissions should be sent in CMYK, resolution 300dpi
Written submissions should be previously unpublished, and all long form pieces should be no more than 1,500 words, size 12 font, in word doc format.
Visual submissions: Mairead at marsxmullan@gmail.com Written submissions: Yvonne at lgrsounds@gmail.com
Spread is published independently by Lazer Guided Reporter and the third issue will be printed and available for purchase in the Autumn.
First time hearing about Spread? Read it and donate to help us print issue three
If you’re new to Spread then you should visit the zine section on LGR. There you can find a preview of our first print issue, plus a link to download our purely digital second issue. The support that we got from the community was unreal – thank you to everyone who downloaded it, shared it and gave us press coverage.
Most importantly, if you enjoyed our previous issues including the completely free to download issue two, you can make a donation of any size to our fundraiser which will help us print Spread 003: The Anger Issue. All donations will be split 50/50 between ourselves and JaJa Studios, an artist studio in Dublin who are in need of a new space.
