Galway four-piece French Ketamine were one of the earliest bands in the country to take a punt on releasing new music during the pandemic with their self-produced single ‘One Thing’. The single follows on from their 2019 self-titled EP and in the words of the band, “This new single tells many a tale about the mundane lives of Galway locals that go by the moniker French Ketamine”.

‘One Thing’ and their 2019 EP are an early indication of something on the horizon for French Ketamine. Reminiscent of Dirty Pretty Things and sometimes Lou Reed and Pixies with the familiar self-inflicted sound that garage has continued to deliver, French Ketamine are a local talent that I’m going to have to keep an eye on.
