On Saturday, August 4, the Galway based music agents Gash Collective are hosting a specially curated garage and house party down at the much loved session bar Bierhaus. Headlining the night is Staxx Lyrical, DJ and radio host on Dublin Digital Radio (Staxx Lyrical).

Staxx’s sound brings out the best from garage, funk-as-fuck, house and jungle. Her show on DDR has hosted special guests such as Bootsy and Emmett from The Jazz Pit and Bentley Riddims. She has played many major clubs and festivals including Electric Picnic and Longitude. Staxx curates a finely crafted selection of tunes for your Saturday afternoon listening pleasures, and this coming Saturday you can catch her debut Galway performance at Bierhaus. Representing GC is Lolz, the regular Bierhaus party aficionado and long time record spinner with Gash Collective.

Gash Collective began in 2016 as a group curated by women, with the aim of supporting female identifying, non-binary and LGBTQ+ electronic music producers. The group has run several DJing and production workshops in Galway and across the country, which have been directed by some well seasoned artists on the Irish music scene such as Ellll and Maedbh O’Connor. Gash also have a weekend music slot on the much loved Radió na Life, and have made their mark on Irish festivals such as Electric Picnic and Body & Soul.
